Industry: Restaurants & F&B
e-Invoice for restaurants, without slowing down service
F&B outlets face the highest transaction volume of any industry — dozens or hundreds of bills a day, most of which never need an individual e-Invoice. TxBilling is built so compliance happens in the background, not at the table.
Common challenges
- Very high transaction volume — manually issuing an e-Invoice per table or per order is impractical.
- Diners who want an e-Invoice for company claims, asked for after they've already paid.
- Multiple outlets or shifts, each needing consistent, auditable billing records.
- Staff who are servers or cashiers first, not accounts clerks — any compliance workflow has to be nearly invisible.
- Managing food cost, SST (where applicable), and daily sales reporting on top of service.
How TxBilling helps
- QR After-Sale e-Invoice Conversion — print a QR code on the receipt; a diner who wants a proper e-Invoice for expense claims scans it and self-serves, so counter staff don't need to stop and manually re-key anything.
- Consolidated e-Invoice — the vast majority of walk-in, cash, and card transactions can be reported to LHDN in one periodic consolidated submission instead of one-by-one.
- Fast receipt/invoice creation — designed for a 30-minute learning curve, so new part-time or seasonal staff can use it without formal accounting training.
- Sales & SST reporting — daily/monthly sales summaries and SST exports without a separate spreadsheet.
- Multi-outlet friendly — keep separate customer/sales records per branch while reporting centrally.
Restaurant e-Invoice FAQ
Do I need to issue an e-Invoice for every table?
No. Most B2C dine-in and takeaway sales can be handled through consolidated e-Invoice. Only issue an individual e-Invoice when a customer specifically requests one (commonly for a company expense claim). See Self-Billed vs Consolidated e-Invoice.
A customer left before asking for an e-Invoice — what now?
This is exactly the gap the QR After-Sale e-Invoice Conversion feature solves — they scan the QR code on their receipt later and generate the e-Invoice themselves, without your staff getting involved.
Does TxBilling handle SST for F&B outlets?
TxBilling supports SST reporting/export alongside your sales data. For SST registration status and applicable rates, confirm current rules with LHDN/RMCD or your accountant, since these depend on your outlet's specific circumstances.
