We didn't set out to build accounting software.

TxBilling exists because the team at OPERION found traditional accounting systems too complicated to use for their own business — so they built something simpler, and it turned out other business owners wanted the same thing.

The founder story

OPERION Ecommerce & Software Sdn Bhd was founded in Malaysia in 2007 as a custom software and digital transformation house, building systems for other businesses. Along the way, the team ran into a familiar problem: the accounting software available at the time assumed every user already understood accounting.

Most micro business owners don't. They want to sell something, issue an invoice, get paid, and know who still owes them money — nothing more. So OPERION built a simple internal billing tool, focused purely on removing complexity rather than adding features.

Customers who saw the tool started asking for it. When Malaysia introduced its national e-Invoice mandate through LHDN's MyInvois system, that simple billing tool evolved into TxBilling — a cloud billing platform with e-Invoice compliance built in from day one, not bolted on afterward.

Our philosophy: reduce complexity, not add features

Most software companies compete by adding more buttons. TxBilling's product philosophy is the opposite:
